The University of Southern Denmark (SDU) is a public research university located in the southern region of Denmark. Established in 1998, SDU is one of the country's largest universities, with campuses in Odense, Kolding, and Slagelse. The university is known for its strong research focus, with a particular emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. SDU offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in fields such as natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and technology. The university is also recognized for its strong international partnerships and has agreements with over 300 institutions worldwide. With around 30,000 students and 6,000 employees, SDU is a vibrant academic community that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship.

After the first students arrived on the University of Southern Denmark's Odense campus in September 1966, things have been growing rapidly ever since. With over 3,800 workers spread over our main campus in Odense and regional campuses in Slagelse, Kolding, Esbjerg, and Sønderborg, we currently have five faculties with over 27,000 students, about 20% of whom are international. We are one of the top fifty young universities in the world and perform research of the highest caliber, according to several international assessments.

The University of Southern Denmark has braided many lives together throughout the years. A student's foundation for the rest of their life will be built during the roughly five years they spend in college.
